St. Mary the Virgin Anglican Church Vestry wants to fix our deteriorating belfry and belfry support structure. This will require a multi-step process.
First, the bell tower will need to be cut at the deteriorating mullions. The steeple and bell will then be removed by a large crane. The bell tower frame and remaining mullions will then be removed. A new tower frame will be fabricated to better hold the bell and steeple. New wooden mullions will replace the deteriorated ones. The steeple will be added back to the top of the belfry, and flashing and louvres will be added to reduce future deterioration.
